Director, Planning & Programs
The Charlottetown Airport Authority, a private, not-for-profit organization established to manage and operate the Charlottetown Airport located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island invites applications from qualified individuals for the position of Director, Planning & Programs.
Reporting to Chief Executive Officer you will be responsible for planning, directing and managing the: Airport Security Program; Airport Capital Program; and Airport Business Development Program.
As part of the Senior Management Team, the Director, Planning & Programs will also manage and control the human and financial resources required for the above programs and regularly provide advice to the Chief Executive Officer, the CAA Board of Directors, and others.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Grade 12 Education (or equivalent);
Post Secondary Education at the University or College level in Business, Financial, or Engineering; or completion of an aviation related program;
Demonstrated experience in supervision or management;
Experience in developing and managing a budget;
Ability to interpret complex documents, including regulations, standards and legislation;
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and manage projects to completion;
Ability to build strong, cooperative relationships and to interact professionally with staff, clients, contractors, consultants, members of the Board of Directors and users of the airport;
Demonstrated ability to work independently, assess priorities and pay close attention to detail;
Excellent communication skills;
Excellent computer skills and in particular with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Programs;
Experience in Business Development, sales, or marketing;
Aviation experience in a supervisory or management role and experience with and knowledge of airport security regulations would be preferred.
