2010 ACASE Conference A Climate of Action Science, Technology and Global Sustainability Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, July 7‐9 University of Prince Edward Island – Charlottetown, PEI
ACASE is seeking proposals for presentations, interactive sessions, and hands‐on workshops (~60 and 120 minute sessions) for a variety of topics in the area of science education. Sessions related to the conference’s theme of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) would be most welcome.
This invitation is open to all teachers, university and college researchers, instructors, and professors, scientists and engineers, provincial and school district level consultants and learning specialists, informal science educators, nongovernment organizations, and university and college students from throughout Atlantic Canada.
Applicants should submit a brief (max 300 words) synopsis of their presentation proposal to Isaac Quinn at iaquinn@edu.pe.ca by March 30th, 2010. The synopsis should include a description of the presentation, estimated time to present, materials and technology required and how the session might relate to ESD’s key action themes as defined by UNESCO’s World Heritage Site: http://www.unesco.org/en/esd/
