Engineering Qualifications Committee

 

This committee will be appointed by Council and consist of at least three Members

               

The committee shall:

  • examine and report to the Council on all degrees, diplomas, certificates and other credentials presented or given in evidence for the purpose of obtaining a certificate of registration, license to practice, enrollment as an engineer-in-training or certificate of authorization and make recommendations to Council with regard to the granting of such certificates, except that with respect to applications for a Licence to Practise and a Certificate of Authorization under the provisions of the Agreement on Mobility of Professional Engineers Within Canada the Executive Director/Registrar may approve such applications subject to endorsement at the next meeting of Council;
  • have the authority to require any examination deemed necessary in order to confirm a candidate’s academic qualifications in engineering theory or special subjects in the uniform syllabus of examinations;
  • develop an equitable method of assessing an applicant’s engineering experience; and
  • one month prior to the Annual Meeting provide to Council for incorporation in the annual report a written account of the work completed by the committee.
