Professional Practice and Ethics: How It Relates to Engineering
Posted: June 15, 2006

The main focus of the presentation is to show how professional practice and ethics directly relate to engineering. A key point of the presentation is to reveal the underlying causes of why engineering projects fail. Why do some engineers fall short of serving and protecting society in their work? The reason for this failure is often more related to our general lack of ethical skills than a faulty engineering design or bad technology. The root cause of most infrastructure and systems failures is lack of professional practice and ethics.
