As a newly formed committee focused on Inclusion, Diversity, Decolonization, Equity, and Accessibility (IDDEA) our initial mandate includes:
- We will work on creating an IDDEA statement for Engineers PEI.
- We will identify IDDEA training beneficial for Engineers PEI membership, Council and Committee chairs and members and work with the Professional Development and Continuing Education Committee in doing so.
- We will facilitate IDDEA events and activities such that members in under-represented groups are provided opportunities for networking, mentorship, and inclusion in Engineering on PEI.
- We will partner with the Women in Engineering Committee and the Student Outreach Committee to encourage under-represented groups to pursue Engineering as a career.
